For this penthouse, 75 stories above Chicago, the client requested a mid-century feel. AC Atelier envisioned a more contemporary version of the style with fabrics from men’s suiting, a neutral gray and taupe palette and contemporary art. Sourcing furniture from Knoll, Herman Miller and Dunbar as the basis for the rooms, AC Atelier then added vintage pieces like the Lion Lucite Waterfall Console from Alexander Millen and a Philip and Kevin Laverne Coffee Table from Modern Drama. Phillip Jefferies wallpapers and decorative paint techniques developed to Cassell’s specifications for the project enliven many of the spaces.
